What safety features come with the 2019 Avalon?
Toyota has been known, for many years now, as one of the safest car companies in the market today. The 2019 Toyota Avalon comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense P, which has a suite of technologies and safety systems that push each vehicle closer to the goal of eliminating casualties from traffic accidents. These systems include Back Guide Monitor, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Automatic High Beams, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection. Other safety features that you can add include a Rear Cross Traffic Braking system, Intelligent Clearance Sonar, and a Panoramic View Monitor with Alert. Toyota hasn’t forgotten about airbags either, as there are ten standard airbags in every 2019 Avalon.
What are the engine options for the 2019 Avalon?
The 2019 Avalon comes with two new TNGA powertrains. The first of these is a 3.5-liter V6, which generates 267 pound-feet of torque and 301 horsepower. The second engine option is a 2.5-liter Dynamic Force 4-cylinder Toyota Hybrid System II with a 650-volt electric motor. The powertrain that helps further boost these engines is a continuously-variable transmission. The Avalon HV is the only fully hybrid vehicle in the entire segment. The fuel economy you’ll be getting with these engines is off-the-charts. If you have the V6 engine with the XLE trim, you’ll get 26 mpg combined. If you choose the XSE, Limited, or Touring trim with the V6 engine, you’ll get 25 mpg combined. When you move over to the XLE trim with the HV, you’ll get 44 mpg combined, while the XSE and Limited will get you 43 mpg combined.
What is the inside of the 2019 Avalon like?
There is one thing that you’ll know as soon as you sit down in the Avalon. This sedan was made with superior craftsmanship, and a true attention to detail. The luxuriousness cannot be overlooked, and the simplicity of the design helps to make sure that the placement of amenities is purposeful, and that every passenger will feel welcome. One of the standouts among the materials is Yamaha-sourced wood-trim, which is available for you to choose from. That kind of quality proves just how dedicated Toyota is to creating a calming and high-end interior. Another addition, which is completely new to 2019, is a Cognac colored leather-surface, which helps to further propel the Limited trim to an upscale feeling. Technology isn’t overlooked either, with many Avalons coming with a central 7-inch screen, and higher trim levels coming with a 10-inch Head-Up Display (which is the largest in the segment). These little touches, and the important technology, help to make the Avalon stand out from competitors, and make driving one the most rewarding driving experience you’ve ever had.
