Can you tell me about Hyundai SmartSense?
One of the best parts about the 2020 Elantra is the new variety of standard advanced safety features. The first of the new features is Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist. This system works by using the front-facing camera to detect an imminent collision, and hopefully avoid either minimizing damage, or avoiding it completely by braking. Another feature is Lane-Keeping Assist, which senses road markings and will automatically steer the car to prevent accidental lane departure. The final new standard safety feature is Driver Attention Warning. By monitoring driver-related characteristics, this system can detect driver fatigue. Other features that were already included are blind-spot collision warning, safe exit assist, smart cruise control, and lane change assist.
What engines come with the 2020 Elantra?
There are three different engines to choose from with the Elantra. Most of the models, SE, SEL, Value Edition, and Limited, get a 2.0-liter Atkinson Cycle engine that can pump out 147 horsepower. The Eco trim features a 1.4-liter Turbo-GDI engine, which offers around 128 horsepower. You’ll even get up to 36 mpg combined, especially while it’s paired with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. Finally, the Sport trim comes with a 1.6-liter Turbo-GDI engine, which can generate 201 horsepower. The 2.0-liter engine works with a new IVT. This transmission simulates gear shifting like an automatic transmission does, however, it simply continuously shifts.
What are a few interior features?
There are many standard and available interior features that you’ll find with the 2020 Elantra. Two of the most stand out standard features include steering wheel audio controls, Bluetooth, and a 5-inch color audio system. You can also get Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a HERE HD traffic 8-inch Multimedia Navigation System, and an Infinity premium audio system with 8-speakers. You’ll also be getting a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines, and Drive Mode Select.
